Perfect lumbar traction device

This is the best device I have ever purchased I have suffered with back pain for years do to disc damage in the past. I have spent a fortune on ostiapaths and cyopractisoners over the years but decided to try this device and after 2 days my pain has completely gone and I can now go back to doing the things i thought I would never do again. I can not recommend it highly enough.

Great for lumbar back pain

I have age related DDD and periodic bulging lumbar discs. I have chronic back pain as a result with episodes of extreme lumbar pain when I slip a disc.

This massage machine has been very helpful in reducing the amount of chronic pain I'm in and helping with mobility in that region of my back.

The pros:
The combination of dynamic lumbar traction (by the inflatable air bladder), vibration, heat and direct muscle stimulation is a great combination.
With the device positioned in the lumbar region, a 15 minute cycle provides tangible relief from back pain.
I use the device twice a day with 2 different set ups. The first uses the heat, vibration and lumbar traction functions; the second uses the heat and direct muscle stimulation (EMS) functions.

The cons:
It is expensive, but you get what you pay for!
Acclimatising to the dynamic lumbar traction can take some time and can feel quite brutal in the first instance (if you have it set to 'auto'). I would recommend manually inflating the air bladder in the first instance to gauge what level of traction (and pain!) you can handle.
Similarly, with the direct muscle stimulation (EMS mode), start on the lower settings (they go from 1- 20 in intensity). The EMS mode only works on bare skin and the skin should be 'damp' to improve electrical conductivity. If your skin is bone dry you won't get good electrical contact and will not feel the benefit of the EMS. If you are using the massager after a work-out then the perspiration on your back will act as a great conductor and the EMS will work fine. If you are using it from rest, simply wiping your lumbar region with a damp cloth before laying on the massager will ensure good electrical conduction.

I would say overall that using the machine has reduced my chronic back pain to 'bearable', but although it can help to provide symptomatic relief, stretching and promotes healing, it won't do anything to improve core strength, so I am continuing to do a series of back strengthening exercises (e.g., plank etc.) in parallel with using the massage machine.

I would definitely recommend this massager if you have chronic lumbar pain issues.

So far so good.

I have only had the pad for a week. I’m using it a couple of times a day and also using the stick on pads. I have a chronic back problem which I know will not be cured but I do feel the pad has made a difference. It is easy to use and I like the choice of treatments. It’s early days but I am hopeful that over time I will see a significant improvement.
